Feel what it’s like to gently ride a horse at Sydney Horse Riding and to create a special bond with these beautiful, healing creatures. On this excursion, we will learn basic horsemanship such as control, balance and correct riding position, as we explore different terrain and changing environments on a short trek.

After our lesson we will enjoy a beautiful lunch at a nearby picnic area.

IMPORTANT PROGRAM INFORMATION

Age group: 12 years+ (boys & girls)

Group size: 15 ppl

Please note: families are welcome to attend if they wish to support their child/youth, please advise us at least 3 weeks beforehand, if possible.

📝 Please bring

• Your own water bottle (every day if you attend more than one day)
• Hat and sunscreen for outdoor activities (don’t worry, our staff will bring extra sunscreen if you forget yours)

👥 Support Staff

• All sessions will include a ratio of 1:3 support staff to participants.

Please note: if you prefer 1:1 support, we can happily cater to your request. Please contact us to book at least 3 weeks prior to the event day, if possible.

💸 Pricing

• In alignment with the NDIS price guideline, each program/day will be charged according to the ratio of supports per participant.
• Activity costs, such as program or entry fees, will be included in the total cost of your program. 
• Lunch will be provided – if you have specific dietary requirements, please notify us ahead of the event day (at least 3 weeks prior to the event day, if possible).
• Any additional planning or specialised support will be added separately to the cost of the day program. 

🚌 Transport

• Transport can be provided to and from the events and is charged additionally per km as per NDIS guidelines.

Please notify us if you will be dropping off participants or picking them up from the event. 

⌛️ Meeting Time & Location + Program Duration

• The day will run from 10:30am to 4pm.
• We will meet @10:30am at the horse riding grounds for our 1-hour session: Sydney Horse Riding – 205 Campbelltown Road – Denham Court NSW 2565
• After our horse ride, participants and support staff will head over to Willowdale Park for a delicious lunch and some outdoor games: Willowdale Park – Jamboree & Baden Powell Avenue – Denham Court NSW 2565
• The day ends at 4pm.

Please note: the day will be slightly longer for participants who are travelling with The Form Movement to and from the event.

☎️ Cancellation & Fees

• If you need to cancel your booking, please inform us as early as possible to avoid incurring cancellation fees.
• Our programs, whether they are run by us directly or in conjunction with a third-party provider, require considerable preparation and particular attendance numbers. Hence, we would greatly appreciate you let us know well ahead of time.
• If you cancel too late and we cannot fill your spot, we have to charge you as per our cancellation policy below: 3 days before the event will incur a 50% cancellation fee and less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
